There are currently two roles in StoryLine: Contributor and a Producer.  Each person using StoryLine must be listed with their name, email address, and role.  If their email prefix is not the same as their network id, they must also provide their network id.  These users will be set-up in StoryLine for your station and for the role in which they have been approved.

Contributor Role:  This role can contribute content: story copy, images, and video.  The content can be created as a story with image and video attached or can be media (images and video) that is uploaded to the media library.  This user can all create video in the media library by clipping newscasts.

Producer Role:  Can do everything the Contributor role can do plus publish the stories to the website and perform teaser manipulation.
