How to work with Content, Images, Publishing & Display ads

Sponsorships are available as ad creative only. Teaser tiles cannot contain sponsors logos in any news content section of news / entertainment sites For example "Best of Local Sports" Story or section cannot have a image tile with a sponsor logo on it.  

Requesting Creative Assets for display on Sections and pages

  • Creative Services tickets can be filed through Agency Services for creating teaser cards for sales content
  • Social contesting cards and content are requested also through the Agency Services . For Contests once created the result will be to pass the URL to WebOps in order to embed the formin a page, or to create a teaser tile to do the same.

Requesting additional Sales Content or requesting revisions to section, pages, navigation links

  • File a ticket at StoryLine Service Desk
  • Process: WebOps triages each request ensuring all requirements are known before the request moves to development queues; expect some back and forth as WebOps verify requirements before assigning tickets to development. It is costly to engage development resources and to avoid churn please fill out forms completely including any needed assets to help construct or revise the request, including links, images, copy and note dependancies or due dates.

Images

  • StoryLine images should be of high quality, with good composition to engage users. High resolution images are best, Note: the imagery has to be owned by the station, or owned by advertiser or copyright free (i.e.: Stock photography). Credit should be giving on the image Caption, add a title if there is one or leave blank.  Optimal size for all teasers and hero images is 1972px x 1110px @ 144 ppi
  • FALL 2016 Mandate - NO STATION SHOW GRAPHICS OR ADVERTISERS LOGOS ALLOWED IN NEWS CONTENT IMAGES.  All Sales specific Teaser Images for "out of the box" templates need to be PHOTOGRAPHIC, graphics if used must not repeat the title of the section, and under no circumstances can the advertisers name be present in the image. Station ID graphics, or show graphics are not necessary as the page would be identified in the page title. Advertisers are better supported using Display banners and other engaging ad inventory. Check with your RSM for further ideas to support campaigns.

 

Display Ads

  • For display banner ads, custom wallpapers, Clocks, Feeds, etc.. You can also use the Localstars Order form available at http://advance.localstars.com/en-us/login - Localstars can make display ads in 24 hours.  
  • All banner ads, Sliding Billboards, wallpaper, specialty ads and video pre-rolls are trafficked through DFP, contact your ad traffic specialist or DSM for assistance. Do not attach to the Service Desk ticket, there will be no action taken if you do.
  • When roadblocking ads on a section or a page avoid using the same ad creative as it would repeat in each ad position. Simply vary the ad creative elements, messaging and CTA for best results.
